SWEDEN. Olof Skötkonung (the Treasurer), 995–1022. Penny (Silver, 20 mm, 1.64 g), imitating a long cross type penny of Aethelred II, Sigtuna, 1000-1020. OOΓIΓDIOV[...] Bare-headed and draped bust to left. Rev. ✠IOIIOICOI Voided long cross with triple crescent ends. Cf. SCBC 1151 (for prototype). Malmer (SMH) 249. A nicely toned example with a particularly wild portrait. The flan somewhat wavy, otherwise, extremely fine.
